The second UPAE fellowship night for the year was held last October 23, 2015 at the Turf Room of Manila Polo Club. The by-invitation-only event targeted engineering alumni owners and CEOs of companies, regular CoE donors, entrepreneurs, as well as well-known high-net-worth alumni.
The UPAE released the 2015 awardee, as shown in the poster. The awards will be presented during the Alumni Homecoming on November 7, 2015.
The 2017 Homecoming will feature the election of 8 new Board of Trustee members.
You may have noticed the two tickets now circulating: the Homecoming ticket and the Raffle ticket. The Homecoming ticket, at P1,000.00, entitles one to attend the Homecoming event on November 7 and be eligible for the door prize to be given away during the affair.
All is set for the Alumni Homecoming on November 7, 5:30pm at the Ang Bahay ng Alumni. Registration starts at 5:00, with invocation followed by dinner at 6:00pm.
The UPAE calendar caps 2016 with a 3rd Golf tournament to be held at Ayala Greenfield Golf Club, Calamba, Laguna on November 5, 2015.
During its September 8 Board meeting, the UPAE invited representatives from the various alumni departmental and fraternal organizations of the UP College of Engineering.
Annually, the UPAE recognizes outstanding alumni who have made significant contributions in the academe, industry and government. The UPAE Awards Committee headed by College of Engineering Dean Aura Matias and UPAE President Lolito Tumbocon is seeking nominations for the annual Alumni Engineers Award. Recognizing that a number of University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) students are financially needy – who, while having access to tuition scholarships still struggle with day-to-day living expenses – the UP Alumni Engineers (UPAE) put up a loan program that will enable such students to focus their energies on the quality education that UP offers rather than on their day-to-day money hurdles.
