Jon is a returning Trustee of the UPAE, having served from 2004 to 2005. He is founding Principal Engineer of AMH Philippines, Inc., and academe-linked engineering consultancy firm based inside the UP Campus in Diliman.

He holds BS Civil Engineering and Master of Technology Management degrees from the University of the Philippines. He lectured at the UP Institute of Civil Engineering from 1997 to 2015, and is currently trainor for the Construction Modules of the Public Seminar Series by the UP National Engineering Center
