Jong is a Registered Electrical Engineer and presently a Customer Solutions and Product Development Manager of the Customer Retails Services Group of MERALCO.
After obtaining his B.S. Electrical Engineering degree in April 1990, he joined the 3-year cadet engineering program of Meralco. Since then, he practically moved and provided significant contributions to all major groups in Meralco. He became a Project Manager in the Transmission and Distribution Department. When he got his UP-MBA degree in March 2000, he went on to become a Business Development Officer under the Office of the Chairman, the Assistant General Manager of the Meralco Financial Services Corp, the Vice President of the Meralco Energy, Inc., and a Business Development and Technical Analyst of the Meralco PowerGen Corp.
