Engr. Jason James Medina is the President and Philippines Global Delivery Center Head at Teradata GCC (Philippines), Inc. As the leader of Teradata, he is accountable for end-to-end consulting, managed services and process outsourcing delivery, profit and loss ownership, operational and financial performance key performance indicators, organizational policy building, capability development, as well as fiscal and regulatory compliance for the Teradata Philippines Global Delivery Center (GDC) with a specific focus on operational excellence, differentiation through geographical partnership, and driving cultural transformation.Β
He has exhibited operational excellence by establishing country goals/targets in line with global consulting and delivery center strategies, and driving successful execution by consistently exceeding country delivery, employee engagement, center utilization, and cost recovery targets. He directed the cost efficiency program to improve the cost center recovery position through workforce optimization and a reduction of overall operating costs to deliver services. Under his tenure, he has significantly lowered the attrition rate to 8% below than industry average and 16% lower than the peer delivery center network average.
Through a partnership and mutual cooperation agreement with Teradata Japan consulting and the construction of Nihongo language Centers of Competence to serve the Teradata Japan consulting services market, he established a road map for unique services for PH GDC. Increased Japan GDC usage by 500% in 2019 through a Teradata Japan leadership exchange program, driving Nihongo language certifications, adopting a language-infused cell delivery structure, establishing a new Japan landed model, and Japan-specific quality and cultural immersion programs. He also established a culture of diversity and inclusion throughout all Teradata Philippines locations. He initiated a regular open leadership-employee dialogue for LGBTQIA+ community-specific issues resulting in initiatives such as LGBTQIA+ Pride month and the establishment of same-sex HMO coverage for domestic partners β both firsts within the Teradata Global Delivery Center network.
Engr. Medina was a recipient of the IBM Business Development Excellence Leadership Award as recognition for his outstanding achievement in business development by growing the Industrial sector application services delivery footprint into IBMβs largest commercial sector through the establishment of the Shell Manila Technical Center among other large focus accounts added to the IBM Philippines Global Delivery Center.
