UPLB CEAT Alumni Association and UPAE Finalize MOA

Last October 3, 2018, the UPLB CEAT Alumni Association board of directors and representatives of the UPAE board met to finalise a Memorandum of Agreement for the formation of a UPAE – UPLB CEAT Chapter. After a few changes on the draft agreement which has previously undergone several revisions, the board finally passed a MOA in its final form.

Present during the meeting were Tally Tabanao, President of the UPLB CEAT Alumni Assoc. and his board of directors, while from UPAE, present were Delzi Banzali, VP-External and Leos Ramos, director.

Subsequently, at the October 10 UPLB CEAT Alumni Association general assembly, the motion to form the UPAE Chapter, based on the MOA and the guidelines for UPAE Chapter formation, was approved by the body. This signals the start of the process for accreditation and formation of the UPAE – UPLB CEAT Chapter.

The plan is to have the MOA signed between UPAE and UPLB CEAT Alumni Association during the UPAE Homecoming on November 17, 2018.

“This development is very much lined up with our thrust of Bridging Globally Competitive Engineers,” says Banzali. “So expect to see more partnerships in the near future between alumni groups.”
