Here’s a totally enjoyable way to stay in shape and give back!

UPAE will be hosting its first ever fun run entitled “Takbong Engineer” at the Academic Oval in UP Diliman on November 10, 2019 (Sunday) and it’s open to family, friends and all runners!

“The UPAE Board decided that a Fun Run would be a most inclusive sports and leisure activity, not just the alumni engineers but for their families as well,” says Engr. Mikey Villanueva, head of the Sports Committee. “We hired a professional group to put this landmark event together.”

The event was then announced over various media channels in the hope of attracting young and not-so-young alumni. There will be 3 distances: 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km. Medals will be given to runners who complete their chosen distance. A special team event for engineering alumni orgs is also being considered.  Proceeds of this event will fund the various UPAE projects in support of the College of Engineering.

“The event is also a welcome opportunity to visit the Diliman campus landmarks within and around the Academic Oval where the run takes place.  These have recently undergone renovations through the concerted efforts of the President’s Office and the alumni community.”
