The UP Alumni Engineers (UPAE) proudly congratulates the University of the Philippines in its outstanding performance in the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) April 2023 Engineering Licensure Examinations, achieving remarkable results across multiple disciplines – namely Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics Engineering. The university’s commitment to academic excellence and dedication to producing highly competent engineers have once again been recognized through these exceptional achievements.

Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination:
UP Diliman ranks first in the April 2023 Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination, administered by the Board of Electronics Engineering, with an impressive passing rate of 87.5%. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the passers, particularly our graduates from the UP Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute. Notably, we commend the highest-ranking passers from UP Diliman: John Vincent Azcarraga Portugal (4th place), Moises Angelo Quiming Sanchez (8th place), and Constantine Nicolai Uy Tan (9th place). This accomplishment underscores the excellence of UP in the field of Electronics Engineering.

Civil Engineer Licensure Examination:
The UP Diliman Institute of Civil Engineering has once again demonstrated its excellence by topping the April 2023 Civil Engineer Licensure Examination with an impressive passing rate of 95.12%. We congratulate all the passers, particularly our graduates from the UP Diliman Institute of Civil Engineering, for their remarkable achievements. Special recognition goes to Casmer Blah Dilangalen (2nd place) and Emilson Ryan Domanog Antes (3rd place), who secured top positions in the examination. We also congratulate the passers from the UP Los Baños College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology, who achieved an equally impressive 95.35% passing rate. The exceptional performance of UP’s civil engineering graduates showcases the institute’s commitment to producing highly competent engineers dedicated to serving the country.

Registered Electrical Engineers Licensure Examinations:
The UPAE also extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the successful examinees who passed the April 2023 Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination. Both UP Diliman and UP Los Baños achieved an exemplary 100% passing rate in the said examinations. Among the accomplished individuals, we proudly recognize the highest-ranking passer from UP Diliman, Mr. Charles Vincent Soriano Arandia, who secured the 9th spot.

We also extend our greetings and congratulations to the graduates and highest-ranking passers from the UPLB College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology: Lance Patrick Cadiz Alarcon (Rank 3) and Mark Jayson Ilao Salud (Rank 6). Their achievements showcase the dedication and excellence of UPLB’s engineering programs.

These exceptional results reflect the unwavering commitment and dedication of UP Diliman, UP Los Baños, and their respective engineering institutes to producing exceptional engineers who will contribute to the progress and development of the nation.
