Lemuel M. Miravalles, BSChE 1967

Engr. Lemuel N. Apusaga immediately joined
the industry after his graduation, climbing up the
ladder of success. Being the Senior Science
Research Specialist at the Department of Science
and Technology – Metals Industry Research and
Development Center (DOST MIRDC), he led the formulation and implementation of projects and activities in support of the mandate of the MIRDC and the development of the Philippine metal casting industry. He is the project lead in improving processes for cast iron and non-ferrous metal melting. Prior to joining MIRDC, he was the
Materials Testing Unit Head at Brownstone Asia-Tech, Inc. where he handled the sales, marketing, training and applications support for all brands of the business unit. And as Product Engineer at Falcon Metal Corporation, he served as technical support for electrofusion fittings, fusion welding machines, and the design of marketing tools, such as ads, calendars, flyers, brochures, shop drawings, installation and operation manuals, and training materials. Engr. Apusaga has maintained his linkage with the department by supporting numerous research projects. He is a founding member and Director of the Institute of Materials Engineers
of the Philippines; is a Director of the Philippine Metalcasting Association Inc., and is an associate member of the Packaging Institute of the Philippines.
