Justo S. Alano III, BSIE’87

Justo S. Alano III or JJ is currently serving as the President of Jollibee Philippines, the country’s leading fast food chain and among the top Quick Service Restaurants in the world. As President, JJ has provided exemplary leadership that resulted to the sustained market growth and dominance of the Jollibee brand, product and systems innovations and operational excellence, and helped drive the marketing and digital transformation of the company with numerous award-winning campaigns.

JJ is also a staunch believer of giving back to the community, as evidenced by his strong support to the company’s advocacy and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs; foremost of which are the Maaga ang Pasko toy and book donation drive (now on its 23rd year), Jollibee Family Values Awards (7th year), and the yearly grand thanksgiving project for grandparents. He is also actively involved in helping the Jollibee Group Foundation, Jollibee Foods Corporation’s (JFC) CSR arm, both on a personal capacity together with his family and as President of Jollibee together with the whole team.

Prior to his post as Jollibee President, JJ held various leadership roles in Jollibee and Jollibee Corporation subsidiaries, Caffe Ti-amo, as acting General Manager, and Mang Inasal, as GM and later on as President. He took on the challenge of turning around Mang Inasal, leading the team to consistent double-digit growth in same store sales (for 32 consecutive months) and more than double in total revenues from 2011 to 2016 (in 5 years). The company was awarded by The Philippine Franchise Association as the Most Outstanding Filipino Franchise under Large Store category in 2015.

JJ completed his elementary and high school studies at La Salle Greenhills where he graduated with honors. He then took up BS in Industrial Engineering at UP Diliman, leading to his early successful career in the FMCG and telecommunications industries. JJ is happily married for 24 years now to wife, Rowena and is blessed with a 20-year old daughter. He spends much of his free time with his family traveling, eating, watching movies, or enjoying his favorite sport, badminton.
