Brent Niko Dargantes, who hails from Leyte and whose family was among the many adversely affected by typhoon Yolanda, was a recipient of the UP Gamma Sigma Pi Fraternity Alumni Association, Inc. (UPGSPFAAI) scholarship grant for deserving engineering students in need. He graduated cum laude early this year and placed fifth among the top ten successful examinees of the 2014 Geodetic Engineering Board Exam. Brent is shown above with his proud parents at his graduation ceremonies.
Aside from Brent, UPGSPFAAI has two other scholars in the College of Engineering. Launched in 2013, the scholarship program aims to give back to our alma mater and to introduce the UP Gamma Sigma Pi Fraternity tradition of academic and professional excellence to engineering students. UPGSPFAAI will continue to give support to deserving students in financial need.
