Christine S. Pardiñas is currently the Vice President for Supply Chain of Rustan Supercenters, Inc. (RSCI), one of the country’s reputable food retailers, operating Rustan’s Supermarket, Marketplace, Shopwise, Shopwise Express and Wellcome. In this capacity, she oversees the supermarket chain’s foreign inbound logistics, fresh and dry distribution centers, replenishment of stores and warehouse stocks. As head of the company’s supply chain teams, she maintains the company’s inventory at optimum levels while consistently sustaining a good supply chain cost-to-sales ratio. Over the years, she has successfully led fundamental infrastructure projects that were proven critical to support the company’s aggressive expansion and efficient operations. One such project is the roll-out of the auto-replenishment system, the benefits of which extend from the Company to trade partners relative to accurate order forecast and replenishment. Another project led by Christine is the setting up of the Fresh Distribution Center which has fulfilled even stronger the commitment of RSCI in terms of product freshness and quality.

Prior to her current position, she was the Division Manager of Systems and Operations Development whose primary responsibility was to lead the design, documentation and continuous improvement of company policies and guidelines. Critical to this function which Christine managed with ease was to ensure the effective and practical integration of these processes with the information systems, human resources and other support services, while aligning with company policies and strategic objectives.

Her combined 25 years of experience handling leadership rolesin various companies and diverse industries that include Smart Telecommunications, Philsteel Holdings Corporation, International Exchange Bank, and Sterling Paper Manufacturing, laid the groundwork of her quest for excellence in everything she does. Christine also spent some fruitful years with the UP Institute for Small-Scale Industries that connected her to micro-entrepreneurs where she provided training, research and consultancy functions which further honed her professional and people management skills.

On a larger scale, Christine does her share to help improve the supply chain and logistics capability of the country as she also serves as the President of the Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines (SCMAP) to assume position from 2019-2020. She is the first representative from the retail industry to assume the top role in the organization. As Chair of the Training & Academe Committee, she has led linkages with top universities to share best industry practices and promote supply chain capability and competitiveness to help chart the country’s economic progress.

Christine is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from UP Diliman. She is happily married to Michael Pardiñas, also a graduate of BSIE batch 1993 and they have 2 wonderful sons.
