Raul L. Ignacio, BSCE’81
Raul L. Ignacio is the Chief Operating Officer of the Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC). Raul joined MNTC in November 1998 as Head of Project Controls. His accomplishments over his 15 years with MNTC include the timely completion of the rehabilitation of the North Luzon Expressway and the high standards of operations and maintenance of the NLEX road.
Over the years, his role has expanded to cover the operations and maintenance of NLEX, including the implementation of the heavy maintenance of NLEX Roads and the planning, design and construction of various projects of MNTC. Apart from his usual duties and responsibilities in NLEX, he had also been tasked to head the technical teams involved in various projects including the SFEX, SCTEX Bid, the NAIA Expressway Bid and the CALA Expressway Bid.
Raul has more than 30 years of experience in engineering, construction and maintenance of roads and bridges, more than 8 years of which were gained in PNCC, 6 years in Foundation Specialists, Inc., 3 years with FPIDC, and the rest with MNTC.
Mr. Ignacio graduated from the University of the Philippines in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
He completed the Executive Development Program, a part of the Comprehensive Executive Programs rendered at The Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania, USA from 5-18 November 2016.
He is also a member of Road Engineer Association of the Philippines and the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers.
