MAJOR GENERAL SILVINO “JHUN” A. ALCABASA, JR., BS CE ‘89
Jhun is a licensed Civil Engineer and the Chief Engineer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines since 2013.
A major general, Jhun received various awards and decorations, a reflection of his outstanding performance. Among others, these recognitions include: Outstanding Instructor Award, Outstanding Achievement Medal, Military Civic Action Medal, Gawad sa Kaunlaran, 13 Military Merit Medals, three (3) MCM, 12 ribbons/badges and numerous Letter of Commendations.
He studied B.S. Physics at the University of the Philippines Diliman for three years before he entered the Philippine Military Academy at Fort del Pilar, Baguio City where he graduated fifith in class with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1982.
While in the military service, he continued his studies in UP Diliman where he received a BS degree in Civil Engineering. He received a Master’s degree in National Security Administration in 2004.
