The first 2016 UPAE tournament was successfully conducted last May 25,2016 at Alabang Golf Club. A total of 58 players in 17 flights joined and actively competed.

The winners of the individual competition were the following:

Class A Champion -Mr Allan Matutina (net 71)
Runner up- Mr. Rel Lopez (net 71)

Class B Champion- Mr Wyne Burgos (net 71)
Runner up-Mr Manuel Ramos(net 72)

Class C Champion Mr Ogie Marquez (net 77)
Runner up Mr Carlo Subido (net 77)

Ladies Winner – Ms Teresa Evangelista
Lowest Gross -Mr Tino Tolentino (Gross 75)
Lowest Net& Overall Champion  – Mr Peter Young (net 71)
Fun competition winners were the following:
Longest Drive – Mr Peter Young (295 yrds)
Most Accurate-Mr Romy Nones (5 inches)
Nearest the pin- Mr Del Dimaunahan ( one putter away)
Mr. Jun Bonifacio of Boysen Paint made a hole in one during the tournament.

To add excitement and foster camaraderie, the team competition was also revived in this tournament. A total of five teams competed : Epsilon Chi, Beta Epsilon, Tau Alpha , EMC2 and Electrical Engineering.  Competition was tight with Teams Tau Alpha and Electrical Engineering tied with a net aggregate score of 291 for the top four players. It was only through count back that Electrical Engineering won the team championship.  The top four players of Electrical Engineering that clinched the championship were Wyne Burgos, Toto Umali, Alberto De Jesus and Frankie Layug.

A total 28 companies sponsored this tournament which enabled the organizer to generate funds for the projects of UPAE. The alumni association is very grateful to the management of these companies for their continuing support.

We are looking forward to conduct a more successful and fun filled second tournament on November 10,2016 at Wack wack Golf club.
