Fellowship Night Held July 30
UPAE hosted the College of Engineering organizations during the launch of its fund raising campaign at the Celebrity Sports Plaza last July 30.
Sponsored by Sid Consunji, one of the major benefactors of the UPAE, the dinner featured a roll out the UPAE “Study Now Pay Later” assistance program for needy students, as well as a renewed call for support for the UPERDFI Faculty Development program. One of the main engines of the fund raising would be the Raffle, at which one of the main prizes would be a car to be donated by another noted benefactor of the college, Mag Albarracin.
Mechanics of the raffle were discussed by project leader and UPAE VP for External Affairs Dante Briones while the Study Now Pay Later Program was explained by UPAE VP for Internal Affairs, Levy Espiritu. UPERDFI’s Tito Aliga made a pitch for both the student assistance and faculty development programs.
The guests, who included heads of the College of Engineering organizations, UPAE advisers and some members of the community, did not need too much persuasion to give promissory notes for direct scholarship support or raffle ticket package purchases worth P120,000/package during the pledging session led by Tito Aliga and Lilit Tumbocon.
Truly, it was a fund-filled night!
