UPAE Board of Trustees Postpone Elections Anew

After discussing at length the difficulties and limitations arising from the pandemic, the UPAE Board announced the postponement of the 2021 elections to November 20, 2021, to coincide with the annual homecoming and meeting.

“The trustees agreed that holding online elections during this protracted crisis presents several challenges that first need to be addressed,” remarked UPAE Trustee and Secretary Benedict Canonizado.

Postponement of the elections (scheduled for late March) was initially announced during the first virtual Annual Alumni Homecoming held last November 2020. According to Canonizado, other related matters were brought to light during subsequent board discussions, which resulted in the necessity for a Board Resolution to postpone the elections to an even later date.

Canonizado further remarked, “Another offshoot of the election postponement is the extension of term of the current Board of Trustees and Officers.”
