“Diamond” from the Greek word ‘adamas’ meaning unalterable, unbreakable, untamed., embodying clarity of purpose, earnestness of resolve. These are the distinguishing qualities of 75 ALUMNI ACHIEVERS that UPAE will be recognizing in a social media campaign to mark its diamond year anniversary celebration..

“I have come across countless alumni engineers, both rookies and veterans, that have had exemplary accomplishments in their respective careers – accomplishments that for some reason have gone unnoticed,” says UPAE Trustee and Search Committee Chairperson Christine Pardinas. “We are embarking on this project to properly recognize them as we approach the Diamond Homecoming this November.”

To carry out this program, the COE alumni associations and different alumni and industry organizations shall be submitting nominations for review by the UPAE Search Committee. The submissions will subsequently form part of the pool of alumni nominees for this year’s UPAE Awards which has traditionally become one of the highlights of every Alumni Homecoming.

“UP Alumni Engineers have continually brought honour to our alma mater and more importantly continue to be the force driving nation-building,” adds Pardinas.

The campaign was launched July 23 at the UPAE Fellowship Night.
