With the continuing emergence of Covid-19 variants and the relatively sluggish pace of our nation’s vaccination performance, the UPAE Board is once again appealing to fellow alumni to participate in the “Mask UP” donation drive. Funds raised will be used to purchase and distribute FDA-approved face masks in and around the UP Diliman community. 

“Latest Southeast Asian Covid-19 tracker indicates only 2.1% of our population as fully vaccinated,” comments UPAE Trustee Manfred Guangko, citing a study conducted by the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

“As our nation slowly moves toward herd immunity, it is critical that all sectors, especially the marginalized, are continually provided adequate conventional protection,” adds Guangko.
