Another UPAE fellowship event was held last September 8, 2016 at the Manila Polo Club. The get-together was not only aimed at getting engineering alumni together but also to bid goodbye to outgoing Dean Aura Matias and welcome incoming Dean Rizalinda de Leon. While Dean Matias recounted her experiences with the UPAE, Dean de Leon expressed optimism that the College will continue to flourish with the support of the alumni through the UPAE.

On that feast day of Our Lady, who has showered compassion on everyone, Elise del Rosario delivered an invocation that called on the alumni present to be generous to the needs of the financially needy students of the College of Engineering. This brought the program going with pledges from all those present. Financial donations came as direct donations or raffle ticket purchases.  The process was ably handled by UPAE directors Dante Briones, Levy Espiritu and Lilit Tumbocon with the help of UPERDFI’s Tito Aliga. By the end of the evening, a total of P1.9 million was raised for the SNPL. Not a bad night for a small number of guests!
