Dr. Mark Abelon is currently the Director IV at the Presidential Commission on Good Government and is a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Philippines Open University, where he handles Masters in Land Valuation and Management classes on Land Asset and Property Management. He holds multiple professional licenses as a Geodetic Engineer, Real Estate Broker, Real Estate Appraiser, Environmental Planner, and Real Estate Consultant and has been a topnotcher in all of these by the Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC).

As the Director IV of the Asset Management Department of the Presidential Commission on Good Government, he implements best practices in property management and introduced innovations and systems in the department. He formulates plans, programs, and policies, develops operating systems, exercises administration, management, coordination, and planning of programs, as well as reviews on the mentioned office. He also currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the UCPB-CIIF Finance & Development Corporation (Cocofinance) and a member of the Board of Trustees of the UCPB-CIIF Foundation, Inc. (Cocofoundation). He is also the President of the Abelon Realty and Surveying Services since 2013. Formerly, he was connected with the Philippine Reclamation Authority as a Division Manager in the Estates Management Department where he managed and led all activities in securing titles, surveying ang coordination of activities. He has been a public servant since the start of his career, starting as a uniformed officer in the National Mapping and Resources Information Authority (NAMRIA) ranked Lieutenant Junior Grade. His work primarily focuses on management, innovation, and the design and implementation of information systems at work.

He took his BS degree in Geodetic Engineering from the University of the Philippines Diliman. He took his master’s degree in Information Systems also from the University of the Philippines, while his Masters in Public Safety Administration, Public Safety was granted by the Philippine Public Safety College. He took his executive Doctorate in Leadership, Public Management minor in Business Management from the University of Makati and his Post-Doctorate in Strategic Management and Leadership from the Philippine Christian University.
